Bénédicte VALLET is a ceramic textile designer who tries to open up porcelain to all possible fields by combining it with natural fibres. A visual artist, she lives and works in the Loire Atlantique region of France.
Bénédicte VALLET spent her childhood on Reunion Island and in Morocco. During her studies at the Nantes School of Fine Arts in Design & Environment, she entered into dialogue with Land Art and became familiar with the poetry of Arte Povera. She joined the CNIFOP (Centre Internationale de Formation à la Céramique) in 2005.
She borrows from soft basketry, weaving, tapestry and knotting techniques to assemble her porcelain and ceramic fragments.
